SO if a points system is the way to go then the question begs.....why is this not in place? Why is it so important to keep the criteria flexible, secret, inconsistent and beyond question where subjective reason is relied upon? Why does horseracing seek to continually muddy waters??? Why is the criteria not just set upfront at the beginning of the season?
Who is on the panel that chose the winners and is each individual free from relationships/dealings with any of the winning trainers or owners? This is just a question, not an accusation.
