Especially as the bookies are not taking any chances a word from Louis would be great if he is able. Oh Shucks comes up from CT to join the Cliffie Miller stable and also must be considered though perhaps may prefer further. Either horse could win but unless there is a confident word from Louis, with no positive breeding indicators to go on, I'll pass and play on the known form at Bingo... on that I give Son Of A P a very good shout, 5 top 3s from 6 c starts and 4th in the other. On an e/w I would hope to at least get a return of my investment. Captive Consort could challenge if away well but there still has to be a question mark in that department and, though he was just ahead of SOAP lto over 1800, I favour the latter over this shorter trip. Ziets has previously made confident noises about Jack Friday and, though well beaten lto over 1800 by the two previously mentioned, he was in the mix with them over 1400, the blinkers go on and could bring about improvement. He may be worth a small e/w nibble for value seekers.

I couldn't agree more!! You've summed up the 1st very nicely and perhaps a smart play would be SOAP to place at evens onto CARLISIE win in the 8th, some 3/1 is good enough for me.

Englander, what's your views on Fort Success in the 2nd, we all know he can run but remains unplaced over the 1200m, perhaps better over 1000m. What worries me is this poor horse has been transported from pillar to post and surely overraced , furthermore he's still a juvenile.

R1 I wouldn't overlook the 6, 7, 8 in R1 WP, all have not been too far off the ones I mentioned and all have blinkers on this time so have to have something of a chance and big changes in form are not exactly rare. SOAP just seems the safest play to me.

R2 Fort Success... based on the yard comments before the last run and on form to date, the 1200 is not his best d at the moment. But, I am no expert on these things (or anything for that matter lol), a pass for me on the d. Was behind Lord A last time at Bingo over 1000 and LA is more suited to 1200 imo, it will be a head scratcher for me if FS finishes infront of LA. The latter has a tricky draw in 8 but as he usually comes late that shouldn't be a huge issue. Wild Lord gets the blinkers but was behind those two over 1000 on c debut, could improve but is another on form to date where he perhaps seems more suited to the minimum currently. Maroun has Yeni up on Bazaruto Island on sand debut, there is a positive indicator in the breeding and he has a good draw in 2. Appears an eye catching jockey booking but Muzi has yet to place in 4 rides for the stable. Maroun's other runner, French Lover, also has something of a positive in the breeding and a good draw but on turf form seems held by the stablemate, both have a chance if taking to the sand. The other 3 need to show a deal of improvement to feature, Mr Seven may do best of them from the 1 draw. Have to go with Lord A and he could well win easily imo if he gets away ok and the two Maroun runners are not sand performers, Mr Seven might be worth chancing on the exacta for some value.

PS Thanks for the kind words :)

Ran against Atso's Scheme last week. Much was said then about his chances. Knowing the trainer, he will not take these 2 horses on a road trip and enter them in 2 different races if he did not believe he can win both races.

Remember the debate about the stable jockey for Mr Spies? Looks like I was wrong, as Fanie keeps the ride on FS and Fransie has to get on the rank outsider.

Look at the main race today. He has 4 runners. Fanie looks like he had the pick and Fransie 2nd choice. Wont leave any of the 4 out of my plays.

Generally, the Spies stable looks good today.

Much typed and very little said. SOUNDS PROMISING

Have fun all

Flamingo Park Racing:

Today's race meeting brings on the ending of a season and we are hoping to end off the season with a bang.

The week leading up today we were very happy with our horses work and on their Sunday walk they were full of life and on their toes.

We expect to have a decent day today and holding thumbs that all goes well.

R3 I would probably be with Prince Fireball but for the draw, he has been competitive from wide draws previously and I expect him to be thereabouts but the draw might give the edge to a couple of others who also have decent claims. One being stablemate Noah Forever who is perhaps a little inconsistent but is normally thereabouts at this level, has had most of his success at this d and has 2 win from 5 c/d runs. The other is Take Two turns who has performed consistently well and must be a big runner but I just think the form of NF might be the slightly stronger. Those are the major players for me but there are plenty possibilities in this race and only a few I discounted completely.

Might just have to put selections down for the rest as a little rushed but I'll see...

Bingo Park 28th July 2014 Selections...

Race 1 : Son Of AP X Miss Esmeralda {SOAP blinkered today and Esmeralda although a filly has improved}

Race 2 : Lord Astronomy X Fort Success {LA been unlucky not to shed his maiden tag and will probably not get a better chance, FS better than his last - chance if timed right}

Race 3 : Ilisabetta X Noah Forever {Ilisabetta could enjoy this trip and she's drawn well, my concern is she's up against some of the boys, NF dropping in class and could easy run them ragged here}

Race 4 : Fit to Flight X Cloud Runner {FTF hoping to frank the Ilisabetta form line}

Race 5 : Boston Legal X Black Pepper (Both coming out of the Anger form line but BL 4kg's better off for 3 length beating by the latter, BL remains a solid each way selection and could well win a race of this nature}

Race 6 : Soldier Sailor X Tribal Code {Hoping that SS can reproduce some earlier form when beating a decent field at the VAAL, last run was all wrong and today could well suite him, gets the allowance weight, TC purely on the last run but finds himself well in at the weights with the 2nd fav}

Race 7 : Field {Topostwego could well win by 10 lengths, compared to what his run against with all due respect to this field compared to what he meets today, it's like a division 1 team taking on a primary school, that said this is racing and we all know that although he looks the right one he's form still remains suspect and could easily run stone last if not enjoying the surface - MODUS TOLLENDI looks great each way value IMO}

Race 8 : Carlisie {Hard knocking - BIG chance, drawn well, banker in all bets!!}

Race 9 : Field {Tough race and perfect for a big upset, no less than field in your Pick 6 here will get the blood pressure up}

Good luck clanners, all the best for today and I hope SOAP wins today so that I can finance the balance of the card ;)
