NI, for your sake i hope nothing goes wrong for both the abovementioned horses in the July, then you'll have no excuses and no if's or but's. You certainly have a short memory when one considers who the hampered horse was in the Daily News 2000. Legislate won the race, and we move on. Legislate, what draw would please you, I'll see if i can arrange that because I don't want Legislate to have a trouble free race, gets beat and then the draw becomes the new excuse.

Hahaha...I think if you can arrange a lucky 7 draw for the "machine" Legislate...that will be a great start Bayern...I think Louis will need a inside 8 draw also...then NO excuses!! (tu) RC was only slightly hampered...no real momentum lost, but Legislate came 8 wide into the straight, drifted right from the outside to the inside of the track up the straight (looking for some company and competition), and still won. RC's shorthead distance behind Legislate really flattered him...Legislate could have won by 5..! Take the 4/1 now if still available!! (

Consider your request done, go and watch the DN 2000 again, now this time round, focus on RC. I am so confident that Rake's Chestnut will win, that I'm not prepared to hedge my bets, even if Legislate and LTK drifts to double the odds

Every now and again any horse runs way above his best. Rake's Chestnut is just that - one of those "any" horses.

Mac, I'm not sure that statement holds true, reason, from all accounts the stable have always thought he is above average (for want of a better word), unless I am reading your post wrong, I don't think he is one of those horses which the stable believed will "go through the handicaps" type and fluke a big one. Quite the opposite I think. Whilst Woodruff has never been overly confident about this horse, he has been very open regards it's ability. I have healthy respect for both Legislate and LTK, however RC is lightly raced and if he shows further improvement, not saying that both Legislate and LTK cannot improve more (that would be foolish), I think he can beat them. I truly believe he has more scope for improvement than the other two, and that's key for me.

Ted, the horse wasn't backed into the current price from 66/1, it was adjusted into 9/1 the following day after the DN 2000. With the scratchings of some big names, the betting gets adjusted even further. The money horse appears to be Futura, not RC.

Any one knows what was rake's chestnut 200 m to fin. Time. He looked like he was eating up the ground, this remiinds me abot the duel between irish flame and bold silvano not so long ago, there could be a repeat this year and the winner will be,!,,,,,,,
