Top jockeys get the best mounts (form horses, best breeding, best stables, etc)...they are also the mounts with the shortest prices and with favourites (of any price) only winning +-28% worldwide, it cannot be profitable to back them unless you have a very high strike rate by backing one of the top jockeys per race...just no value in the top jockeys in that they may win 20-25% (places 45-55%) of the races they ride, but the price you get for their mounts that win doesn't compensate for the mounts that don't win...

Spin A Coin over that trip and after a break ,was the first horse i would have ruled out...
