Wow, someone just lost their shirt on Ravishing Star, on the tote anyhow. The Win pool jumped from R104,892 to R288,155 at the close, and RS dropped from R6.6 to R1.2 in the process. I was waiting for the bet to be reversed, as some sort of error, but it looks like it stood.

And interesting Hollywood not declaring the full dividend
SCOTTSVILLE - Race 5 - 16-Feb-2014 15:10
S.P. Win Place
1st 5 CHASE THE CHERRY 3.75 6.60 3.50
2nd 11 DIVERSIFY 3.03 3.50
3rd 4 MAMZELLE 5.56 3.00
4th 1 RAVISHING STAR 4.55
Anybody know what the ruling is from the bookies? Perhaps Dev can let us know what they do in a situation like this?

Playabets has this rule.
11.10 Regardless of the pool size, PLAYA reserves its right to limit the odds payable
on tote wins and tote places to a maximum of 50% over the fixed odds starting price
of the horse. The payout limit will be the lesser of the saftote pool size and the value
of the stake applied at the odds limit. For example: if a horse has a starting price of
2/1 and pays R5 for a win (odds of 4/1) on the totalisator (where the pool size was
R10,000) and a customer has R1000 wins, then the payout will be limited to odds of 3/
1 and the customer will win R3000 plus their stake back of R1000. Should a customer
have R5000 wins on the horse then the maximum win amount will be the pool size of
R10,000.
