New Tabonline Site

I'm a dedicated tote punter, wouldn't know how to place a bet with a bookie if my life depended on it. Also, punting is my sole source of income.

My question is, why does it feel like I have to fight TAB every step of the way? Surely they should be enabling me to use their product, instead of trying to turn me into an ex-punter.

SUBJECT: 24-hour snap trial period for TAB’s new online betting site

TAB’s new online betting site, which was launched on a snap 24-hour trial basis on Monday night, has now been withdrawn.
During the trial run, several technical issues related to TAB’s switchover to new servers emerged. TAB is in the process of upgrading its servers and this impacted on the new betting site, which will now not be made available to users until the server switchover is complete.
TAB also received many valuable comments and suggestions from online customers during the snap trial period. These will be evaluated and modifications made to the new site where warranted.
Once relaunched, the new betting site will be operated in tandem with the existing betting site for some time in order to give TAB’s many online customers the opportunity to explore and test the new site at their leisure.
Obviously, comments from TAB’s online customers will be welcomed and evaluated, and the existing betting site will only be withdrawn when any necessary modifications have been made and online customers are satisfied and familiar with the new site.
The new site has many exciting features. It’s designed to cater for mobiles, PCs and tablets and there’s more information at users’ fingertips.
Plus many betting processes have been expedited. For example, users can now click on a tipster’s suggested permutation and the betting matrix populated with the tipster’s selections appears. Players can then modify the permutation or bet it as is.

Exactly the point Greg.............my ongoing concern with this mob is not just the incompetence and poor management of issues...........it is the culture of dishonesty in the excuses!..............it's this kind of bull that makes you question the explanations that have been offered for illogical tote dividends.........I sure as hell don't believe that we have ever got the truth!

They could have come on here asked for 20 or 30 members to give it a trial run for a few days

But it is a step in the right direction. Well done Dave on calling Vee..... and well done to Phum for reverting back to the old site.

You are very forgiving..............in one week .........................an untested system implemented...............a cocked up publication printed and distributed and ongoing "management by complaint" strategy.
Well done to Dave for conveying the complaint but hard to imagine any further steps in the wrong direction!

(BTW it appears the home page of the old site is no longer available,but hey the cup is half full !! )

I sent an email this morning complaining about being unable to access the on-line Computaform - got back a reply later, suggesting that the Computaforms were not available on the new site - and supplied me with a link to the old site - however when I click on that link, it takes me to the new site (td)

Just tried the old url ( news.tabonline.co.za ) now and it took me to the old site - and happy to report that I could download my weekend fix (tu)
