Sorry, this question was asked once before but I'm asking it again. Is there anywhere online we can watch a recording of the MET discussion panel?

Thanks

He makes those two his best of the rest (excluding Gr 1s)

Dennis Drier “couldn’t be happier” with the preparations of both Master Of My Fate and Beach Beauty, who are the respective favourites for the Gr1 J&B Met over 2 000m and the Gr1 weight for age Klawervlei Majorca Stakes over 1 600m to be run at Kenilworth on Saturday.
“The pleasing thing is that neither have put a foot wrong and we’re just hoping that all goes well between now and Saturday.”
He agreed that the big four-year-old colt Master Of My Fate could be one of the most exciting horses he had ever trained and added, “He is still maturing. He started his career late due to a near fatal injury and maybe that has been a blessing in disguise.”
The colt split a hoof as a two-year-old and had to be box rested for five months.
Master Of My Fate is bred in the purple, being by the many times champion sire Jet Master out of the champion Elliodor filly Promisefrommyheart.
He also resembles his magnificent sire in conformation, so it was not surprising that he went for R3 million at the sales, knocked down to the late Andrew Papageorgiou.
He made his debut as a late three-year-old in May last year over 1 200m at Clairwood and was beaten at odds of 9-10. However, since then he has reeled off six wins on the bounce.
It is the manner of these wins, not to mention his special presence, that have made him a worthy Met favourite. He is still not fully exposed, despite a merit rating of 114, as his wins have invariably been by comfortable margins.
In fact he appeared to idle in front last time out in his second successive Gr2 win over 1 800m and just did enough when asked for extra by Sean Cormack, despite giving chunks of weight away to the second and third horses, Awesome Power and Punta Arenas, who will both face him in the Met on much worse terms.
Beach Beauty is poles apart from Master of My Fate in everything other than ability.
Although by a top sire in Dynasty, she is tiny and was leased by the late Trevor Armitage to The Shanks Syndicate, which was formed in honour of Trevor’s late son Mark.
Drier describes Master of My Fate as “naughty, but not a nasty naughty, he just wants to show everybody that he’s a man”, while Beach Beauty has a very sweet temperament and could probably pass as a child’s riding pony.
She is extremely sound and her career has gone smoothly throughout, except for the Cape Summer of two seasons ago when she suffered bad luck in the running in just about every one of her races.
However, the six-year-old darling of the racing public has made amends for that succession of narrow defeats and seems to get ever more brilliant with each successive race.
Now the winner of three Gr1s, her early speed, exceptional turn of foot and resolute finish will make her a tough nut to crack on Saturday even from her wide draw.
Annetjie Papageorgiou, widow of Andrew, and the Shanks Syndicate members will obviously be approaching Saturday with keen anticipation.
Drier quipped, “They are probably all on tranquilisers like the trainer!”
Drier has three other runners on the days.
Captain On The Run runs in the second race, a MR 80 Handicap over 1 200m, from a favourable high draw.
Drier said, “His work with blinkers has been very pleasing and this is his second run after gelding, so he has a chance.”
Eternal Jet runs in the fifth, a MR 80 Handicap over 1 600m from a nice draw of six, and the blinkers that were tried in his last start over 1400m have been dispensed with.
Drier said, “He has been a bit disappointing and I’m still trying to work him out as he does not produce his homework on the track. I am trying him in a tongue tie, but I think the main thing is that he may need gelding.”
Ethylene runs in the ninth, a MR 82 Handicap over 1 400m, from draw 12 and is the only one of the yards runners on the day not ridden by Cormack.
Oswald Noach rides and the blinkers stay on.
Drier said, “I thought she would definitely win a race in Cape Town. She was probably ridden too aggressively last time with first time blinkers and we will give her a chance this time.”

Brett Crawford confirmed that Jackson had enjoyed a better preparation into this year’s J&B Met than he did last year, when finishing a disappointing fifth, and he said that Gr 1 Investec Cape Derby favourite Captain America was also in “good order.”
He said, “Jackson comes off two seconds, so is in good form and looking well, although his draw is a bit of an obstacle.”
The magnificent five-year-old entire by Dynasty will be watched closely by experts in the pre-race parade to see how relaxed he is on the day as he has had issues before.
Captain America upset the vaunted Red Ray when winning the lucrative Lanzerac Ready To Run Stakes over the too sharp 1 400m in November. He was then caught late in the Gr 1 Grand Parade Cape Guineas when losing a shoe.
Crawford didn’t know whether the shoe had cost him and added, “I think over racing was what cost him in the end.” He was not too concerned about him over racing on Saturday as it had followed some interference he had suffered in that race and he had never done it before. The big Captain Al colt jumps from draw seven.
Crawford also runs Gr 2 Sceptre Stakes winner Reflective Image in the weight for age Gr 1 Klawervlei Majorca Stakes over 1600m. He said, “It’s a tough task but she’s a fit horse and will be given a patient ride.”
He reckoned the five-year-old Tamburlaine mare was a better horse now than the one that finished 3,6 lengths behind Blueridge Mountain in this race last year. She is drawn well in six.
The stable’s high flying jockey Glen Hatt rides all three of their Grade 1 contenders. Crawford mentioned Futura in the fifth race and Zacharias in the eleventh as the best of his other runners on the day.

Justin Snaith is still in a race against time to get his J&B Met contender Jet Explorer to Kenilworth on Saturday in 100% condition after he had pulled a shoe and bruised a leg in the official gallops last Thursday.
He said, “I haven’t lost any work with him as we have been taking him to the beach and walking him in the water. He showed his first improvement from the injury yesterday and is looking fantastic. The bad news is whether we can get him sound enough to compete. We are quite fussy on that score and won’t run him unless he is 100%. The injury would be the equivalent of a player falling on a knee. He banged his leg and there was quite an aggressive reaction. Beside the beach we have continually iced the leg and the inflammation is starting to leave.”
Jet Explorer has remained steady at 12-1 with Betting World, although he was as short as 8-1 at one stage after his flying third-place finish in the L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate.
Snaith has three runners in the Gr 1 Investec Cape Derby. He said, “They have never been better. Captain America is the horse to beat by far and we will have to watch out if he goes to the front and dictates the pace.
“I think that if Legislate runs to his ability he will give Captain America a go. We had expected him to run a big race in the Guineas and then be one of the horses to beat in the Derby. But he disappointed and we had to start over with him. But he is now fresh and his work has been very good. His work has been that of a horse that would run in the first three in any year of the Derby.
“He has been working with top older horses. Arion will run his best race this season, he is that well, but we will have to see whether he is good enough. I’ve always thought Cape Cutter would be a better four-year-old, but he has improved more than I expected him too.
“If someone had asked whether I would run him in the Derby three months ago I would have said they were mad. He did it the hard way from the front last time when giving away weight so that was a very good run and he won’t run that way this time.”
Snaith also has two runners in the weight for age Gr1 Klawervlei Majorca Stakes over 1 600m.
He said, “In The Fast Lane is doing very well, but I think she would be better over a little further and it is very hard at the weights for a three-year-old at this time of the year, especially as the race falls on the first day of the month. Jet Supreme is doing well and will like Piere Strydom so has a small quartet chance.”
Snaith made Arria and Daring Dave his best runners on the day. They run in the fourth and second races respectively.

Vee's predictions seem to be correct w.r.t. certain horse shortening in the betting. Vee knows handicapping and I'm glad he made an effort to point punters towards horses that are well handicapped. I enjoyed the panel discussion, lots of valuable information.
