Not my dribblings, but worth a read.
Race 4 – 1:30 – Ladbrokes Handicap – class 2 – 3yo+(0-105) – 7f

A really good race which sees the return of the fibresand beast Dubai Hills. He is a monster on this surface winning 6 of his 7 starts, his only defeat coming on his first start here back in 2010. His form was in and out on turf but a return to this venue will make him difficult to oppose just 1lb above his last winning mark. Galacian is a tough horse and she comes into this having made the frame in her last 4 starts, the last 3 coming on the AW. She is making her fibresand début dropped in trip which shouldn’t be a problem. She is by Redoutes Choice who is 2/4 over course and distance and 4/9 overall. Frontier Fighter has had a busy year running 14 times winning 4 of them including here over a mile. He was beaten here by Dubai Hills over a mile and has 2 lengths to find with him being worse off and it is hard to see the form being reversed. Iptisam is a progressive horse winning 2 of his 6 starts and comes into this on the back of a 2nd last time at Wolves. He is making his fibresand debutwhich should suit. He is by Rahy who is 2/9 over course and distance and has a 21% s/r overall. His dam Grain Of Truth was a listed placed horse for Sir Michael Stoute so there is hope further progress is possible. Aubrietia is 3/3 here at the track all coming over shorter. She arrives struggling for form and she is hard to fancy despite her impressive record at the track. Laffan (IRE) is also unbeaten here winning 2/2 both coming over 6f. He is closely matched with Galacian on their run last time where he has 3/4 length to find being a lb better off. Clockmaker (IRE) has serious form claims but his sire is only 2/58 at the track which is off putting. Fratelino is also overlooked with his sire yet to have a winner over course and distance. Galacian is sure to give her running and she may be the safe e/w play but she may have to play bridesmaid yet again to the ‘Sand Beast’ Dubai Hills at 9/4

I have already backed Silken Express.

Equitania is on the form of her life winning 3 of her last 4 starts her only defeat coming behind the progressive Forrest Edge. She won on her only previous visit to the track. She runs under a penalty for her win last time which leaves her requiring a career best but the manner of her win last time makes you think she can be competitive and she has to be considered. RoyalBajan (USA) is also turned out under a penalty for his easy win last time at Wolverhampton. He is a course and distance winner that needs a career best performance to win this and he will not be able to dominate this race like he did the last. Sharaarah (IRE) is a dual course and distance winner that comes into this on the back of a win here last time. She is up 3lb for the win and although she is unbeaten here she will need to find more in a better race. Silken Express (IRE) is a course and distance winner that comes into this on the back of a decent 3rd behind the progressive Perfect Pasture last time at Kempton. That is rock solid form and she rates as the one they all have to beat. Cheveton was smart performer in his day but his winning form has dried up with only 2 wins since 2011. He returned to winning ways 3 runs back at Nottingham and wasn’t beaten far last time behind Best Trip and he holds Sharaarah on that run although the ground may not of been ideal. He is well treated on his best form and although it is some time since he showed his very best form he has to be considered. Threes Grand hammered Equitania when winning at York in August but she is not certain to appreciate the sand. Even Stevens is a course specialist winning here 6 times form 8 starts. He is drawn stall 14 around where all the pace is. He is 1lb below his highest course and distance win and he is sure to go well. His price has collapsed by the 5 bob over night merchants and is plenty short enough but he is the most likely winner. We think this is between Even Stevens and Silken Express with price favouring Silken Express at 6/1

Race 6 – 2:30 – Ladbrokes Wishes Paula Wilson Happy 50th Handicap – class 6 – 3yo+(0-60) – 1m

No Win No Fee is a 7 race maiden that comes into this on the back of a 2nd last time at Kempton. The yard does well at this venue and train there horses here so despite there being nothing in the pedigree to suggest he will act on the track he ahs to be considered. His sire Firebreak is 0/13 over course and distance and 2/43 overall. Hussar Ballad (USA) showed nothing in 5 runs before getting off the mark last time on the sand. He is dropped back in trip from 12f to a mile which could be a slight worry but he is still unexposed and there could be more to come from him on this surface. His sire has yet to have a winner over this distance. Frosty Friday got off the mark last time out at the 20th time of asking here over course and distance. She has claims in the visor works again but I feel she will need to improve to win this. General Tufto is a course specialist that has won here 10 times. He has been struggling for form for a long time but he ran his best race in an age when finishing 2nd last time out at Wolverhampton. It is almost 2 years since his last win but he has obvious claims if able to build on that last run. Andiamo Via is a dual course winner with both wins coming over sprint trips when trained by M Smith. He is still lightly raced for a horse of his age and he could be a different proposition now he has been switched to Brian Ellison. It is interesting Brian is running him over a mile as he has stamina to prove but there is plenty of stamina in the pedigree and he is one to watch in the market as strong support could be significant. Mataajir (USA) is a 3 times course winner 1 over this trip that is now 1lb below his last winning mark. He makes some appeal in a race that won’t take a lot of winning. A typically tricky low grade contest where several are capable of winning. Mataajir and Andiamo Via make plenty of appeal and we wouldn’t put anyone off backing, but we think the e/w value in the race is General Tufto at 8/1

Also backed Ivy Port.

Sakash has obvious claims if taking to the fibresand but her sire has yet to have a winner over course and distance. Ivy Port was well supported here last time out over a mile in an apprentice and ran a big race considering she went far too fast early on. The drop back in trip is a positive as is the jocey booking and everything looks set for a big run. She is a course and distance winner. She has a length to find with Putin (IRE) on their last run and is 2lb better off. Putin is a 3 times course winner and advertised his well being with a close up 2nd last time out over a mile. He has obvious claims here being 1lb below his last winning mark. Orwellian hasn’t won for over a year and despite his falling mark he has shown enough to think the run will end any time soon. Masked Dance (IRE) is a course winner that is becoming very well treated on his best form. He won here in February off a mark of 60 and although he never got competitive last time and has plenty to find with Ivy Port and Putin he is one to note in the betting as he is more than capable of winning this on his day. Somethingaboutmary was a juvenile winner here for Kevin Ryan but she hasn’t trained on and is hard to fancy despite a tumbling mark. Upper Lambourne (IRE) is a course specialist but all his wins have come over shorter and he has stamina to prove at this trip. This looks to be a straight match between Putin and Ivy Port with preference for Ivy Port at 3/1

Race 8 – 3:30 – Ladbrokes Handicap div 2 – class 6 – 3yo+(0-60) – 7f

Prince Of Passion (USA) has won 5 races 3 of them when Joe Fanning has been on board. He has won here over 6f and is just 1lb above his last winning mark. Monte Cassino (IRE) is a course and distance winner that is on form having regained the winning thread 2 runs back at Wolves he was denied back to back win there last time by a head. He has obvious claims here from off the same mark. Izzy Boy (USA) got off the mark last time at the 10th attempt and has claims if able to back it up. He was well below par the last time he run here but he could be a different proposition now he has got his head in front. Elusive Warrior (USA) is a course specialist and legend having won here 10 times all over this trip. He regained the winning thread here in August under this rider and he has generally held his form well since. Grace Hull is up 1lb for finishing 2nd here behind Fathom Five last time over 6f. She look as if the step up in trip will suit and she has to considered. Heidi’s Delight (IRE) broke her maiden here over 6f and has further placed form at this track. She has been lightly raced over the past couple of years and she is returning here from another 6 months off the track. That said she is well treated and has to be considered especially if the money arrives. This isn’t a very strong race and we think that the e/w value lies with Heidi’s Delight and Prince Of Passion and we are going to take a chance on Heidi’s Delight at 18/1

I have punted Prince Of Passion.
