Still, they've apparently needed the rain there so hopefully a bit of a blessing in disguise.

No. We have had the same amount of rain in Pmb if not more.
It was raining this morning as well. Has stopped for the last 3 hours. No sun at all.

are the operators regretting not waiting till today to call the meeting off? 1mil in the last 24 hours and no sign of rain today so far plus the track needed the rain desperately and the water table was low prior to it...yet again i salute the owners in this industry..

my trainer works there and told me yday if we have no more rain then yes we will race today..we havent had anymore and she has her own rain gauge which totalled 60mm not 80mm over the last week...said you can always see from certain points on the track if we could or couldnt race after we have had rain and she was in no doubt we could of and she onlly had one runner today which runs tuesday anyway in a weaker field so she aint being biased...all im saying is that wait until the day of the meeting dont just follow weather forecasters blindly there is a lot at stake when abandoning meetings...look at tftein they going to all extremes to save a meeting

do you know how much it costs the industry when a meeting is abandoned?the track is being maintained in fact the track manager at clwd is very good
