I think its common knowledge that Phumelela dont have to much upstairs. Computerform was started by Martin van Niekerk and was solod to Phumelela and since then its gone one way in terms of content etc. They also bought Betting World from Gold Circle after being offered a share when it was founded and now own the whole thing. They have tried to buy the publication Parade from Gold Circle but have failed. They phumelela are the biggest monopoly in South Africa. Please remember that racing is funded in total by the punters and no one else.Without the gamblers racing is dead!!!

Titch so would I.... It's a great shame we don't have sectional timing as I'm pretty sure owners, trainers and punters alike would be prepared to pay for the info.
I saw her work this morning which was good, runs on the 12th over 1400. Should be very interesting as I'm still not 100% sure what to make of her.

it seems that very soon SA racing could have a tracking system similar to trackus whereby a chip is placed in the saddle cloths of all runners in races then the start , 800m , 400m distances etc will be accurate and sectionals will be recorded and made avaliable to all
