Yes, very interesting comments. The actual final time was 0.26 slower than Zurigha posted when beating Igugu. It was all about how the race was run, and that strong early pace.

i never heard comments my side as jessy is watching chuggington's and i old got that brief look at the race. Ill watch replays tonight but for me it looked like they went a decent clip

I'm all over goosebumps ...
The commentator was ecstatic, getting all poetic about "Into every life a little rain must fall" and then realising that the meaning of the proverb didn't really fit for Mike de Kock, LOL! And trying to turn it round to mean the opposite. But more seriously, he was making some big statements about "pure class" and the Dubai World Cup. It was a thrill to watch, SFR powering away up the Newmarket hill and getting further and further away the further he ran.

By the way, I believe Soft Falling Rain is the first SAf-bred to win a Gr2 in the UK.

They reached flat out 40 miles per hour in the 1st furlong then kept on at a blistering pace,the commentators
were excited cos sfr was the only horse that never fade at the end
