My p6 ramblings:
Race 3: Barefoot lady to back up Kings V
Race 4 : Money for Yeoville- wont have to be too good to beat the raced horses. Weary of improvement from 2/8 and 9(backed each time). Good field race
Race 5: Sammy Silver the bet, with Blue Spirit added in to the p6
Race 6: Marching Band, Crown Mine and Egyptian. adding in Prince of darkness, but only bcos Titch seems to know/see something?!
Race 7: Either going to anchor Anger- or going to back up with the top 2. Dont mind including sprinters after a break
Race 8:Saint Angelique and Shepard One to see me through hopefully

My thoughts on a day where not many jump out at me:
R2: Closely matched handicap - my preference is for De Var Hyt, who is at best over 1000 and is racing fit, obvious danger Jade Bay, but there is quite a swing in the weights in DVH's favor; Power Jet may prefer 1200 and should fight out 3rd place with Goldstream.
R3: Looks a two horse race between Barefoot Lady and Kings V - not much between them and both should still improve - Striker on BL, so I would definitely include her in the P6; the rest seems really moderate - unless a first timer has some ability.
R4: Real nightmare of a race - where's that pin ?
R5: Competitive handicap where nothing really stands out - Caribbean Coast's is coming down in MR and has won twice over this trip but is having his 87th start, so is only my narrow first choice from Sammy Silver, who also is struggling to find the winner's box (as many of these are); at least Ganesh has a recent win under the belt, so could be a danger here; Blue Spirit is finding some betting support so could fight out the minor places with Educated Guess (well held by SS)
R6: Marching Band has been a real warrior, but he has never won at this track (10 places from 13 tries), so could have to settle for a place once again; having said that I can't really find anything to beat him; Egyptian seems to have lost form and finished behind Prince of Darkness last time; Crown Mine just won a maiden impressively, but that was on the sand, so imo is not well treated at the weights here; interesting runner is Pearl Rush - she has a Kimberley MR of 89 and comes in here off her turf rating of 66 - would throw her into the P6 and JP just in case.
R7: Competitive sprint where a lot will depend on whether Anger can reproduce his good last effort on the sand - the jockey booking seems to suggest that a lot is expected of him; however he faces some tough competitors in Eagle Face and Jetsons, who should be the ones fighting it out if Anger is not quite as good on the turf; Turbo Tom has very consistent form over this trip, so must have place chance again despite a big weight and an appy that has been struggling a bit of late; another who could surprise imo at long odds is Shannon's Boy who has had two good runs on the turf before running poorly on the sand last time out; Mighty Var may still need another run imo
R8: Confusing fillies and mares handicap to close; the two younger fillies Shepard One and Saint Angelique do look the most likely ones, SA may be found out by the quick 1000 so SO is my preference between the two; however the race does not stop there, most of the older fillies and mares look to have some sort of chance and must be considered for both PA and P6 purposes.
I'm taking a small 'idiots' (morning Englander
) Yankee:
De Var Hyt (w)
Caribbean Coast (p)
Shannon's Bpy (p)
Pleasure Jet (p)
Enjoy (tu)
