Was at all Divine Acts wins with the owners
Great times and remember on debut " the more they ask the more it gives"
I am sure that was the fastest time he ever recorded

Long before my time but I do remember in the 1990's that this Helenita was the broodmare of Little Ballerina and Trojan Belle. Little Ballerina won the Cape Guineas beating the colts.

May not have been Helenita - could have been Little Helen or something like that.

Anyone remember a horse called Peralta? - I remember the name but cannot recall much else except that I think it was a speed machine?

A very fast 1000m horses ............backed one day at CWD drawn 1,but one of those days that the outside was far superior...........thought they had gone mad.
Result the horse jumped and headed diagonally for outside rail (no 200m rule in those days)..........broke the course record ..........one of those races you don't forget!

any references to the hurdle races....? I have these faint memories....but I never got to see one because I was a schoolboy those days and not allowed to attend the races....they were in Maritzburg? Somehow getting The Malster tangled up in one of them too....:S

not the same one, but something similar...
A quote from Stephen Jupp... wordpress.freeracer.co.za/2011/12/stephen-jupp/
The best filly he sat on was Silver Lining, trained by Albie Going. She was by Silverware from Sure Sign ans Stephen tells. “She won her Maiden by 15 lengths, then finished a close second to Little Mo giving her fifteen lengths at the top of the straight, then placed to colts like Tudor Blue and Fuzzy Rag before she broke down. She was amazing.’’

I think that there are some pics of the hurdle races in some of my Duffs volumes - will check the weekend and see if I can post something - I remember David Payne entering one of his stayers but for the life of me cannot remember the name or who rode it.
