Sun was spectacular as Shea was unspectacular and almost cost Sun the race...what do you think?

Shea got boxed in badly, I think Shea did say on tv interview with Andrew Bonn that the other jock got called into the stipes for an enquiry.
I don't believe it was Sheas fault at all.
I say this was the ride of THE CARNIVAL so far, under the circumstances.
Shea should be included in the ride of the month for FEB..... he would win it hands down.
Any other ORDINARY jock would have got beat on this horse.... well done to SUN CLASSIQUE & KEVIN SHEA.... a peach of a ride, & one I'm sure Kevin will treasure for the rest of his life.
Am I going overboard ? I don't think so.

Whomever thinks that Kevin was "bailed " out by this filly is mental. Boys what happened in that race is what is called race riding and Mick Kinane is no slouch in the saddle BUT what also happened in the race is that Kevin Shea DID NOT PANIC and proved that he too is no slouch in the saddle. Of course the filly was impressive but you still need the pilot on top to make the call and he did so in a split second and quite frankly this was one of the best rides i have seen in my 31 years of racing. He could have dropped his hands, objected moved up a place without a doubt, but his call was to LOOK RIGHT, SWITCH HER OUT and RIDE HER OUT, FANTASTIC

He set his own standard now so when he rides a Maiden in Durban we expect the same commitment

Mr Hawaii
that is a fair statement he SHOULD have the same level of commitment on all his rides but alas i fear this is the case with most jocks they suffer from the "feast or famine " syndrome
