If Pick 6 couplings are taken out , me myself and I will be punting Pick6 like I punt the Jackpot now , already done Strategy.
My Jackpot ave outlay is about 3K so I will go with same methods on Pick 6 ,full perm will work out ave 20k but i will invest only 25% (5k ave) and Already did a test run. Most pick 6 first legs is a maiden race and most fav/ single figures win that so will be an easy leg with only 1-4 selections, when its handicap first leg the bombs hit normally, the smaller I go in first leg the bigger I will go in last leg that is normally won by some poor horse that never wins again after that .
Very Exciting X(X(

i agree with that.....
my suggestion they should perhaps align the pa and p6 races (more like a long each way bet). in that way a punter can just play the same numbers in the p6 and the pa....
yes couplings should be done away with....

these new bets will replace what? The Pick 3, have you seen those pools on a day to day basis? What about the all to come tote bet, does it still exist?
The Soccer pools have improved, because the majority know soccer, and it is simple to work out. As someone who races after work I like the Quickmix Jackpot and would invest if there was a similar PA.
There is only so much a punter can invest. More bets equals smaller pools and the more losses you have the less interest you have towards these new bets. Keep it simple or the Average punter will continue ploughing his hard earned into sports betting.

I like the present Pick6 / Jackpot structures at present. The one with coupling and the other without makes it two very different bets to structure. To make the two the same would be silly as the Jackpot would just revert to a smaller Pick 6 like before.

I agree with ZESTO
Theres proof a punter struck a million rand PLACE bet.Surely amendments should start with the place bet first.
i will miss the current P6 format.Couplings were a huge benefit.

they chasing the same amount of money.no matter wat new bets they introduce,there is only so much money the existing punters hv to spend.in essence they will be diluting there existing pools by introducing all these new pools for punters to bet into.instead of all the new pools why not try and find out why all the upset results and why no questioning of stables for inconsistent running of there horses.after all the more punters win the more they re-invest into the pools.its a win/win for operators if more punters are succesful so y not try and clean up the game so that racing becomes a game of skill instead of a lottery like its now.

I love the Jackpot with the no couplings rule but with the Pick 6 if the same rule applies and the bet remains at R1-00 per line, it would be too expensive for a lot of punter (perhaps the majority?)...The bi-pot sounds very similar to the Cape's quinpot, as mentioned by other clanners. I loved this bet and had great success with it and I was sad when it was dropped.
The Pick 3 and ATC as far as I'm concerned is under-utilised and I would not lose sleep if they were canned.
Here's what i'm hoping for:
1. Jackpot retained in its current format;
2. Bi-pot launched either over 5 or 6 legs - no coupling rule (if 5 legs then 1st leg would be current 1st leg of pick 6 and last leg would be last leg of Jackpot) ...If 6 legs then starts at 1st leg of PA);
3. Pick 6 with no coupling rule if implemented, drop R1-00 per line to 50c per line to make it affordable for all punters;
4. PA retain in current format;
5. Blitz PA have this bet more regularly on Saturdays when more than one local meeting
6.Quickmix Jackpot retain in current format;
7. Blitz Jackpot - create this type of bet on Saturdays when more than one local meeting
7. ATC - can this
8. Pick 3 - can this

perpetual , why should they drop the unit to 50cents ? As it stands you can take any percentage , no need to drop the unit .
As for the bipot i would do it over seven races under fractional betting . Remember before it was a 50cent unit over six legs and no fractional betting .
i agree with you on the atc and the pick 3 can them . Do away with the atc , totaly valueless bet on the tote . P3 maybe host two or three pools a meeting .
