I see Fortune is not riding again this week - does he have an injury perhaps?

Pity - I always include the marginal horses whenever he is riding

Place double :-
Lastbutnotleast X Debra (17/10)
Lastbutnotleast X Debra (17/10)
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Ran ok from 2nd widest draw at Durnabville OR, though only an 8 runner field then. I agree, a potentially dangerous punt from the draw, I make Debra the most likely otherwise
OR... speaking of draws... my thoughts on R1...
Catchphrase ran well on debut from the 3 draw but now odds-on from the 1 box in a large field over 1200... :S Recent meetings show a preference to be drawn high over 1200, though I suppose it could be different today.
CP was beaten 0.4l by Wheredowego. The latter, over 1000, had previously finished the same distance ahead of a "making steady progress" I'm Yours (3 winners from the race). Albeit that was WDWG's 2nd run when beating CP so likely to have been fitter but when ahead of I'm Yours they were both on debut. IY then ran to within 3 lengths of Icy Winter Air with a slipped saddle. IWA followed up, if memory serves me right a fast finishing running on too late 3rd next time out in a race which featured no less than 8 winners in a 12 runner field. With a draw of 16 today I think I'm Yours is a much more sensible e/w bet than CP on the nose. Not discounting Winter's Eve either who also has an ok draw and ran green on debut when only 0.1 behind IY in the race won by IWA.

Nice summary Englander. I agree with I'm Yours, and with a tailwind today, can only help. The Kitty Cat formline is strong.

Don't mind that CP won, but that was a dire run by I'm Yours :S (td) Shall leave my bets running and pass by the Cape for another day as it seems yet again I can't be working it out there lol
