Just a question though - What do the other Jocks think about it? Years ago i recall a Jock being drunk and I think he rode one race and then the other Jocks asked the stipes to step in and he was stood down and I don't think he rode again -

Ok no problem with all your point of views that's what forums are for . But if this guy is that bad then A ) why do trainers give him rides ? And B ) how come he has not been stopped by the so called ( useless weak and inconsistent authorities ) who decides who is better? I for one have never ridden a horse and thank God for that it's hard enough to walk most days . But emotions get the better of many of us! I understand why you highlight the two scenarios but for me it is a really poor comparison . Just another question the two jocks concerned ? How many suspensions if any have either had ? And how many winners have either had ? And I have to say its your choice as an owner and trainer who you put on the horse!

Mr Hawaiii good question ! Clearly looking at facts here and statements made by many the jocks are no different to soccer or rugby pros they don't always agree and we have seen many onfield off field and jockey room incidents ? It would be good to hear their point of view! Let's be honest what we as punters have to say clearly is always put down to talking from the pocket ! But that pocket also hurts Trainers other Owners and some jocks so it really is a bad way of trying to argue .,sure many won't agree!

If i have only 1 or 2 rides and ride like a cowboy to win its gonna cost me less financially as opposed to a jock who has a full card of rides and does not want a week off.....

Len...I hear what you say....but unless he has another income....his 2 rides are gonna cost him....just my opinion....I cannot judge because I have seen the race in question....but I think everyone has it hard....someone needs to mentor him...or take them under the wing and show him the wrongs of his doings....

Pirhobeta, we, as a stable have tried to help in ways. We have leant money for children, bought clothes for racing, bought groceries, given lifts to work by going 25 km out of the way only to be kicked in the teeth. Fellow jockeys have given money, lifts etc. This is not the only one....

Given up now on trying to talk these guys out of drinking their life away.
