R2-TRIUMVIRATE raced on Met day against much stronger and drawn well. Tiger Island should be involved & Nightside brother of Ashton Park should improve.

R3-My Precious.Very good debut at this course. Lost a L and was running on to finish 4th - 1.75L behind Array of Stars. Coventina's best run was her last at Kenilworth over 1600. Down in trip today :S & should again be involved. Debra caught the eye when coming from far back to finish 3.5L behind Queen of Diamonds.

R4-New Moon Rising 3rd run after a long break.Ran a good race last time despite racing with a slipped saddle. Blinkers off today for Sir Robert and if this horse does not hang to much should be involved. Finnigan, good form, but 1st time at course and a tendency to weaken late.

R5-Don't like this race. The fav carries a big weight. I'm leaning towards c/d winner Gianduja. Teetan knows this horse well and he(Gianduja) runs well this time of the year.I think British Banker that does well over this c/d could be involved.

R6-I like Parker with a 50% strike rate at this track. Young Goomany claiming 4kg (good strike rate with Snaith) Hoping that League of Honour, dropping in the ratings & blinkers on can get some earlier form back

R7-Noble Star. Consistend & in good form. C/d winner and drawn well.

R8-A few with chances here. Horses from good draws. Last Flight loves this c/d and like to race handy, but fades late. pilot claiming 2.5kg, might be in the top 3. Luna de Victoria holding form since maiden win and has placed over c/d. Smart Sally drawn 11/11 should be involved.Another I like is Moika Dancer. Like's to set the pace and holding form well. Drawn 5

I started doing a waffle but got bored with it, but here's my thoughts on R3...
My Precious looks the right one to me. Made debut on this course over 100 shorter from a worse draw than the one here and despite a tardy start ran on into 4th beaten 1.75l. The form could be a little suspect and she will need to break better, but that run looks good enough to win this. Coventina has improved since some poor breaks, longer distances and recently has had some better draws. Again no particular franking of the form but is drawn fairly well and should be thereabouts. The race won by Queen of Diamonds which featured 4 of these behind looked a poor race. Of those 4, I prefer Debra to confirm the improvement and from an inform stable and coming from the 1 box to run the best of them. The one I like a little as a potential semi-idiot e/w or place is Galaxy Guide. Nothing to shout home about but 4 runs back over 1400 she was beaten by less than 2l (0.3l behind the aforementioned Queen of Diamonds) from the worst draw. Has also finished infront of African Showers in another race. AS was the closest to QofD of the 4 here who ran in that race and she was beaten 3.3l. GG has also finished 4th on this course over 1600 beaten 3.2l when drawn 14/14 and of the other 7 in the top 8 that day, 6 have subsequently won. Has raced over 1200 last two outings and though that is probably too short she did run 4th when drawn 7/10 on this course last time out in "wet" conditions. Selection... My Precious x Galaxy Guide x Coventina

Thans for the summary OR.... blinkers are OFF Legion of Honour.... I bankered Parker purely on that run to CTN at level weights and his affinity with the Durbanville track. Just the distance is a mild concern, but he does race handy and there is a tail wind today.

race 1 Tsotsoma should get it right today unless one of the first timer's comes up
race 2 Tiger island should win from Wind Glider,
race 3 Debra was scratched last saturday due to colic medication taken 3 days previous, but vet reported her fine to run today. (see stipes report) She is an improving sort from a winning family and has pole draw. Galaxy Guide finally gets a nice draw so could surprise.Fortune rides African Showers again and looks to be improving. Paddy's Fancy will appreciate the extra ground. These 4 with the obvious Conventina and My Precious for trifectas and quartets.
race 4 Finnigan the horse to beat but poor value at 8/10. Sir Robert e/w value at 7/2 and New Moon Rising improving and has good draw.
race 5 Field
race 6 The appy allowance could swing this to Parker, otherwise another Field leg
race 7 Maltese Falcon looks ready to win again after coming down in the hcap, but another tricky race
race 8 A half sister to Irish Flame and a half sister to Noordhoek Flyer in this race, but another very open handicap.
