Think so too, Hibs.
My personal opinion is that your horse will have to have improved quite a bit to beat Flight of Eagles.

Jockey or groom's money, you know the owner is the biggest cunt in the game ,especially if you are a small owner, the old saying, this game is for king's and cunts, and we are no king's, but we still love to hate this game.

my 2 cents
if you/anyone is going to back a horse at > than 20/1 and you want to get serious money on R80k then there is only 1 way. DONT back it in SA.
There are people here in the UK that for a small commision will set up a network of punters 40/50 to all hit betting shops at the same time and have their £100's each at a fixed price without a call going in to the trader.
They do this a few times a year with UK horses and are able to get huge ammounts on by co ordinating this like a military operation. You will for sure get the whole ammount on and you will GET fixed price what ever that is.
When we had a go at ozymandias we got > £1000 on at 50/1 and 66/1 which = > R13000 at those odds. NO WAY would any bookie have laid that bet in sa....even though the horse is finito.
Hibs is correct loose lips sink ships, next time keep shtum and make contact with someone abroad. I can point you in the right direction.

Dont think of the bet you would have had take the price money a WIN is A WIN and you might not have anather just go for it
Some times the bookies get a sniff and they will price it down even before there is money on it
see you in the winning box on tv as i am in England breake a leg

Re: Re: My horse claimed

?......the way horses are claimed these days the world would think it is the only horse in the race.......besides all the other crap going on in the game driving people away in droves......the need for greed to make a fast buck on a coup is also not helping either......this horse is not total soupmeat for it to be sacrificed to make a quick score and run up to constant form no more......looks to have a ped picture to get much further but racing style at present may get it to thump a field of not so fast floundering horses over the shorter trip......so it grabs this or the next one.....then what battle to win another....not easy to pay keep for months on end with no income.....I say let it continue trying in the maidens grabbing stake cheques until it learns to race and it will win more than a 1000m dash
