Frodo, you could be right..........I have her rated higher and assumed a capping...........i do agree that her rating is still a bit subjective ,but I have her higher for now ...........maybe have to review after today???? :

I actually ended up taking the treble with Miss D for Sunday, so it will have to be just the double (tu)

Dave I see you have frightened Hollywood so much that they only opened Miss D at 3/1.

Value bet of the day for me in Race 3 # 5 Chapel Of Love beat the favorite last time out and if repeating that run should go close and at 20/1 a win and 3,6/1 a place. Take swingers with The Sanquharian. If Greystone was not trained by Mike De Kock it wouldn't be favorite in this race, false favorite IMO.

Yes today should tell us - takes on pretty useful sorts in Sea Shadow and Lady Calumet; interesting runner at the weights to me is Music Affair.
Regarding the rating of OD - in the race where she beat Negev, I used Legal Account as the line horse (assuming that Negev may have needed the run) and even with that, Besame Mucho ran 8 points better than her rating :S

Careful re the start Shrek, got close last time because he got away relatively on terms and was well worth a rand risk at 66s,,, he's an idiot again but I would really like to see a drift as there is no guarantee he will not return to breaking very poorly

Thanks Englander, I am just taking a small EW because of the price difference between him and Greystone. I make the Southern Taste form much stronger anyway but at 20's can't get too hurt.

I started a wee summary today but deleted and stopped after race 3, too tired and not enough ones I liked at odds... but my now deleted write up for R3 was actually very similar to the statement you made there (tu)

Imo the 3rd is a straight match between The Sanquharian and Royal Roy (from the draws it will be interesting to see if they drift towards the centre of the course for each other's company) - Greystone needs to improve a bit to match those imo
Most of the other races very difficult imo - as mentioned Orator's Daughter could be the one to rely on - but certainly not an odds-on shot imo. Slighly Blonde looks good value to me at 12/1 and I have been on Knock and Announce the last couple of times - could repay me today at decent odds - some others that could sneak a place at crazy odds are Olympia Beijing and Sweet Candy
Enjoy (tu)
