Are we living with savages?

The stats say 600 000 sexual cases reported each year but the scary thing is its estimiated 10 times that amount are not reported...:

Rape is endemic in South Africa -- one woman is reportedly raped there every 17 seconds

Not surprising there are so many rapes when the head of state Jacob Zuma was charged with rape.
Surprise,surprise the charges were dropped and the women fled the country.
He is their role model and what a shite one he is

I genuinely wish I knew the solution for you guys but I confess, though horrified and disgusted and wishing I could inflict pain on the "savages" for the remainder of their days (death is too lenient a punishment), I am also one who has come to expect horrific crime in SA. I am not numb to it but I am less shocked by it than I am to hear of such crimes elsewhere. Government, effective Police, change the mind-set of the people... focus on that and there will be hope, without that imho there will be no end to the horrific crimes that prevail... and though this case is particularly brutal, all crime is bad and all of it needs to be eradicated. Soon.

All I can do is feel heartbroken for the girl and those close to her and pray it never happens again. May she RIP.

Has to be otherwise there would have been a huge jump in shower sales which is the other 'cure'

Government outrage

The government on Thursday expressed outrage at the crime.

"It is worrying that rape and abuse seems to have become a norm. This will not be allowed to continue," Government Communication and Information Systems (GCIS) acting CEO Phumla Williams said.

"Society needs to change their mindset about the dignity to life and respect for each other. Those who molest and abuse children have no place in a democratic South Africa."

Williams said it was important for society to help combat crime against children.
