So you saying it was a perfect ride by Soumillon?? or did he manage to get himself into trouble down the inside... Stuffs up 2many times for me to consider him as a top jockey. Anton and Stiker are light years better than this guy.

GB I think there was a thread about a year ago trying to compare Paul H with Anton and as I remember, even Michael Roberts agreed that there is no comparison between the 2. My dealings with Christoff S have also left a sour taste. Anton/Anthony should go over there.

You cannot compare the two. The one races 7 days a week approx 12-14 mounts a day which includes travelling from course to course and brings home outsiders by the dozen whereas the other races 3 or 4 days a week max with 6 to 7 mounts a day and most of his wins are on odds on favourites.

I have just watched the replays and I must say average rides by both hanagan and soumillon. I kinda expect it from the belgian prat but not hannagan. He is an excellent rider and I like him a lot as a jock.
Seems like the rail is not where you want to be coming off that bend. It seems more and more like Meydan is riding like an American track where the draws are really not as important.
Mushreq impressed me, blinkers off and ran a fine race. He will improve from this and perhaps you will see more races finishing down the middle and everyone staying away from the rail.

As far as I know, they're not used anywhere in the world besides South Africa.
