True Master for me.

One has to wonder what kind of an advantage Variety Club gained from not jumping; the other horses must surely have become quite worked up and the sawing at their mouths to stop them can't have done them much good. However, VC was super impressive and it would be mad to skip the Met, with champion milers like Wolf Power having succeeded in times past. But don't discount Slumdog - he was doing his best work at the finish to be 5th and the Met will be his third run after a rest. I thought it was priceless the way Marcus managed to evade Neil's question about the start. He wouldn't have got away with it in the UK, where a pack of media hounds would have descended on him. Here the hounds don't even crack an invite, which is why there won't be a report in tomorrow's Sunday Times.

o my god, what some jockeys are riding.. horrible.. and then just look at the master marcus and u cannot tell me, that he "simply has always the best horses"--- he is the best, no doubt

I am with you Muhti, massive advantage today and over the extra 400 could be running on empty. Recon Pomodoro and especially Jackson will be given more of a chance in the Met and not try to be as handy. 4 very impressive Met performances today. Can't wait for the Met. (tu)
