Pirates, watch this clip from october, this was a poor grade of race yet he rode the winner like a good horse.Especially when he saw the horse coming down the wide and he moved his mount over towards the closer. Race Replay

i know many think our jocks are the best in the world.that may well be the case, but as far as im concerned ill be looking at r hughes who in my opinion is the best jock in the world at the moment and morreira or magic as he is known to show our jocks a thing or two.i hvnt seen a jock win as often as morreira does.guaranteed 2 or 3 per meeting in singapore.pure magic and i hope he gets to show his talents to the locals.

Chatted to 2 of our top jockeys and both said that Joao M is absolutely brilliant and probably the best jockey in the world at the moment. Therefore he is riding 2 for me on Sunday(rain permitting):D

I hope you enjoy watching Joao Moreira tonight and on Sunday and whilst I am and will always be a South African at heart, Joao is a horseman of note and we will be supporting him in every ride. Added to this talent is his overall professionalism and work ethic that can't be faulted. Joao is so humble with it all and is over the moon at being afforded this opportunity so we in Singapore will be hoping he does well. Many are critical of these international events but it does put a different light on racing and gives everyone that rare chance to watch world class riders - and here I include the South African riders who can hold their own anywhere on the globe. I wish I was at Turffontein tonight but let's hope that racing is the overall winner.

Interesting to note that even though he is a champion he asked to be put on as many rides as possible here. Even in the maidens as he felt it would help him with the experience. As Debbie says he has a very good work ethic. Good Luck to him.
