What Magi meant to write...{encrypting his IP address, and logging in from a internet cafe, so that he cannot be traced for snotklap of atomic proportions}

ABC is the first site I open every time I switch on my pc. There is a quite a few knowledgeable posters. I have my own strategy of studying which is based strongly on formlines. I appreciate the input from trainers, owners, jockey's and some abc clanners, but I do respect every clanners view or opinion. I have made a lot of friends in the last 2 years from this site. I do check certain posters selections as we have some 'experts' on different courses around the country. I think that it is important to have a system that works for you and you must have the discipline to stick to it and If my selection get's the thumbs up from some other clanners, I feel more confident to place my bet. Thanks to all the ABC clanner's and a special thanks to circle of pm friends that share their wisdom with me on a regular basis.......not forgetting my friend Umlilo for all that wonderful Indian recipes.(tu)

I'm not a big or frequent bettor so I only use this thread occasionally, when I am planning to go to the course. Mainly to see the opinions of a few guys that I have come to respect long-term. Having said this, I prefer to bet on course, after I've had a chance to look at the horses.

As for posting my own opinions, sjoe! Eina! I tried a few times with big races ... embarrassing ... I am not into S&M ... it always leaves me feeling fifty shades of blue to see my confident fancy coming home after nightfall.

mr hawaii
Frodo
Magi
Englander
ZO
Potluck
my apologies to those I've left out...Cannot remember all, until they post again and then I kick myself for forgetting....Like the horses I "follow". Amazes me that five minutes after winning or seeing the results, I remember that I wanted to "watch" it next time out.:X:S::o

A great site with lots of info. I usually make my selections and then look at what the clanners say. Always very useful.

I actually did this thread in the hope that some of the "viewers" only or those that rarely post might enlighten us on what they seek etc. I should have known that even here they would be too timid or "ungentlemanly" to comment. So, though I know they will hate me even more for saying it, fark em. I enjoy the company of those that do contribute and thanks to all my "chums" here who have commented :)-D

Mr H... I agree. For info, as a couple of people already know and I have stated on the thread a couple of times, I rarely post reasons for my selections for 2 reasons... 1 my choices are nearly always based on draw and time, I don't have, claim to have or want to have the knowledge that others possess (but I am partly here to use that knowledge, thanks to all (tu) ) as I operate on a less is more basis, it seems pointless me mentioning the reason therefore as most are much more interested in "real" form. 2. I don't think people really appreciate it (a few of us do) and the acknowledgements for a good call are few and far between, why write an essay assessment for people who don't contribute etc themselves? Anyone who ever wants to know why I like a horse only has to PM me (tu)
