Then Frankel would have won the race by twenty lengths - one is the best horse in the world the other was the best horse in South Africa so zero, zip comparison.

In all fairness and though not part of the thread but what weight did the 3 yrold. Horse Chestnut carry in that MET, really. Now Politician's 2nd Met win with top weight and coming from a totally lost position to explode through to win, that was something to witness.

how would we ever know how good HC was.....if he won against Dabai Millinium in the dabai world cup with 6 lenghs ...what would he been rated....we all can just sit and dream.....imagine how many times MdK thinking about it when he see Frankel......and not just about the colour similarities ....

London News won the met and ran over sees was rated 116
Jay Peg won grade 1s over sees and was rated 123
River Jetez won the Met and won over sees and was rated 121
Igugu won the Met and is rated 115
Horse chestnut was rated what?

Frankel is rated 142 nearly 20 pounds better than Jay Peg..

You think Horse Chestnut could give Jay Peg 20 Pounds? or Igugu 28 pounds?

what cobblers

Horse Chestnut was a superb animal BUT to even mention him in the same breath as Dubai Millenium is clutching at straws.
and to start with Frankel makes me wonder if Lance Armstrong figured that it was better to go through life drugged up and not have to read this kind of thinking.
Ill name just a few that Horse Chestnut would have struggled with in the last 5 years and i wont include Frankel BUT FRANKEL would have thumped all of these which therefore means Horse Chestnut would have run a credible 8th

1: Sea The Stars
2: Zarkava
3: So You Think
4: Excellebration
5: Dylan Thomas
6: Canford Cliffs

and if i go back a while longer and add in

rock of gib and dalakhani and sulamani and high chparal the list is quite daunting.

Mr Hawaii summed it up Horse Chestnut was a Champion but not an international champion
