Yes in T20 anything can happen - we do have a balanced squad, but no real T20 star imo who can take the game away from the other team - well maybe Levi (got to play imo); Mendis from Sri Lanka, the Pakistani and WI spinners, Sehwag - now those are guys who can hurt you - so I won't be surprised if we don't make the semi's in this hit and giggle tournament

In this format of the game, bowlers win matches not batsmen. 4 overs for under 20 and you have really hurt the batting side.

I had to laugh at Alex Bowden's snarky comment on ESPN Cricinfo, giving some potted excuses why this or that team lost a particular match:
"South Africa -
They choked. A narrow defeat? A choke. A massive thrashing? Again, clearly a choke. Any kind of defeat whatsoever, against any opposition, at any stage of the competition - choke."
This caused much hilarity too in the Comments section of his article. The "Chokers" tag seems to apply to just about any loss by SA these days, however likely or unlikely. It seems to be turning into an in-joke among those who have been around the cricketing block once or twice, the way it is slapped on every time the Proteas lose a match, regardless of why.

Pakistan spinners had the better of our opening batsmen today.I can't understand why Albe Morkel comes in so low down the order. Only faced 6 deliveries for his 9 runs :S Hope our bowlers can defend 133 on a slow pitch

Poor decision making. Why on earth we persist on bowling our fast bowlers when we do have slow bowlers with the ability is beyond me.This is the 2nd game in this tournie we have resorted to the quicks when it was clearly the incorrect choice. You can't expect to win if you don't learn from past mistakes.
I've already stopped watching the rugby.Cricket is heading in the same direction.

Can't believe the captain bowled Botha & Duminy 2 overs each....economy rate 5 & 2.5. Morkel brothers bowled terrible. Anyway, our batsmen let us down and Steyn showed again why he is no 1 in the world. Brilliant batting by Gul
