I know there are a lot of unknowns and stats may not be on our side, but Rob you said it well - " an excitingly nervous day" awaits... Who would have thought that draw 20 will win the July this year? (Maybe not the right comparison due to the difference in surface, course & distance, but still).

Hidalgo I also had the privilege to have a horse in the Cup a few years back, it is a great feeling, we ran 4th but for me it was like winning it, had a great time, that year it was over two days.had the family there booked two rooms in the Emerald Hotel and everybody enjoyed themselves.

In the sprint race I also had a runner, but it was way out in the weight due to its MR, ran midfield, but beat horses with much higher MR, so next time we put it in a MR in his class, put Figgi on and took the lot start to finish.
collected over 200K on a horse I bought 4 weeks prev for R20 000

So break a leg with your runner and enjoy
