Royal Ascot

In September 2000 I was priviledged to be at Ascot when Frankel won the Gr1 2yo race over a mile. It was the best performance by a 2yo I have ever seen- his acceleration off a good cruising speed is incredible. I backed him the next day ante-post for the 2000 Guineas, and every run since. The connections have done us all a favour by keeping him in training as a 4yo, as it is almost impossible to earn as much in a racing year as in stud fees.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the coverage of the Royal Ascot meeting on channel 207, despite not being the slightest bit interested in fashions or celebrities, -PVR gets rid of the unwanted bits.
This is how to build interest in horseracing as a sport.

We appear to have lost our dedicated 207 link however the second race was a real battle and great to watch

Another great race and win from Buick on a horse that had to be followed after its last win

So the Royals eventually got on the board...

Wonderful stuff we just need BC to win and make it a dream week for horse racing

Everybody loves the heroes so we all want to see BC win......but to put the class she will be meeting into perspective,she will win 150% more in stakes (converted)if she wins t'morrow than all other 20 wins together.
