That's why i was hoping to hear from Louisg today......but i'm including both for the exotics anyway

Must admit I was leaning toward Kalaam, but can be slow out which is a worry against the speedy Variometer

Just to help this discussion along... from my dribblings:-

Race 8: Purely on handicapping Variometer has no chance with Kalaam but races are not run on paper and I believe Variometer more effective over the minimum trip. Just the top two for me in the exotics.

Hope this helps... for the record I did punt Kalaam on doubles and trebles...
