I cant believe two people would choose too go to jail over a painting.

There have been a lot of analogies used by the ANC re the second coming of Jesus. The question has to be how would Christians feel about a picture of Jesus with his privates hanging out or a picture depicting the allegations of sodomy in the ET case (to put it in a political and non religious context). Neither of these are palatable and whilst JZ may not be a saint to any of us, he is "Jesus" to many.

We have to be overly cautious when treading in unknown territories of African Culture. We should be careful not to treat it as a subculture and the issue needs understanding and respect.

People have gone to Jail for their beliefs in our history and they are heroes for it.
