Titch, my grandfather played for Addington and then Durban Utd and I recall him telling me how he defended against Sir Stanley once when he was out playing in SA. One of his greatest honors as a footballer!

Gordo my boet was a lot older than me I was a very "Laat Lambtjie" and may well have played with your grandfather..Arthur played keeper for Durban United in the early 60's

Maradona - a bit of ability (divine intervention) but not in Messi league. I cannot comment on Pele; still too young for that.

LIONEL MESSI STREETS AHEAD IN THE LAST DECADE. When he is fouled and tripped/hacked/kicked, gets up straight away, grins/smiles at the offensive tackler and carries on with the job; no rolling and writhing on the ground ala Ronaldo.

everyone has an opinion,but sadly you cannot compare the different generations and say messi is better than pele or maradonna.i never saw pele playing,or sir stanley mathews,but i did see maradonna playing in world cup wen he beat england,forget hand of god goal,the other one he scored wen waltzing through the english defence was one of best goals i hv seen so imo of players iv seen play,maradonna is the best.
