goodness me.... Do they only run in sunshine???? Supose its for safety reasons of the jockeys and horses but what a shame

TabGold website ( www.tabgold.co.za ) showing Going GOOD as at 9:15 this morning,
so how do they abandon a meeting so quickly. Can it really go from GOOD to UNRACEABLE
in 5 minutes?

this is ridicules HOW came they race here in the England rain snow ect they seldom cancel races only when the ground is frozen ?? or are the jocks a bunch off softies ????

My Mother is 3kms from the course and said it went from a drizzle to plenty rain there and forecast is that it will not stop. There is nothing worse than getting everyone there and then abandoning it after 1 or 2 races Dont start the meeting if you cannot finish it. Horses do not need to be taken up just for the ride. Upsets most horses for nothing.

Craig I came off the highway at the Scotsville turnoff half an hour ago and the road was hardly wet. Yes its drizzling now but whats wrong with racing in soft rain? I think its a joke.

I was at Milnerton R/course some 30 yrs ago,It was RAINING,WIND was HOWLING and you could not see through the MIST until 80m from the post.
It was the SILENT PARTNER SOUTHEASTER HCP [check signifigence of race name]

My banker, ICE CLIPPER [held course records on both tracks] was the first horse through the mist to win.
They still ran the last race in the rain!
