I'm a Liverpool fan and I have to say I think Man U deserved their win and the scoreline flatteres pool a bit.

So does it make the FA when they said its ok that in the QPR v Chelsea match they said that the players dont have to shake hands?

He is a pundit on Match of the Day on a Saturday night and he gets 40k a time. Unbelieveble amount of money to pay somebody for a couple of hours work. Thats why our licence fee is so high

The fact of the matter is that this time next season or the one after that the Suarez Debacle will all be history as he will be playing in Spain or Italy like so many spanish speakers before him as he would have claimed that Barca/Real/AC/Juve/Inter ( take your pic ) were always his dream club and that he has supported them since his parents conceived him. Blah, blah, blah, yawn and bore :o8-)(

Yes Buxtehude, where you think of that name, imo the English FA are run by a bunch of weaklings who have no backbone whatsoever. They are all yes men who make decisions to please the masses.

Yepp agree. ..as the Capello issue illustrates..... once he was bombed they all came out of the woodwork saying what a great move and... J.Terry? Trial postpone should he get the same treatment for his comments as Suarez? or is it different? I'm sure that discussion has been exhausted... But in English football whats good for the english sometimes does seem good or fair for the non english.

So true buxtehude. Terrys case should have been heard and be all over by the end of December yet because he is, rather now was, the England captain the FA did nothing just hoping that it would blow over. How many times do the FA charge the foreign players with the "trial by video" yet whenever an English international does something wrong they choose to ignore it. Cole was the first English international to be sent off for over a year followed closely by Barry. Maybe the refs have been told as it was becomming very obvious as to what was happening. Football is all about one thing and thats money. Nothing more nothing less. I used to go to at least 20 matches a season but now I go to maybe 10 as its far too expensive.

Bux... I still called him a plonker, just less of one than Suarez. I simply said I had sympathy with Cantona.
There is a big difference in the Suarez and Terry cases in that one has been resolved and the other remains open.
I am guessing that Evra accepted the misunderstanding explanation. I am also guessing that no discussion took place between the players directly until it went before the FA. Having gone before the FA then they had to decide if a punishment should be levied and imo, given my limited knowledge of all the facts, they got it about right
Terry apparently spoke to Ferdinand immediately after the game to clear any misunderstanding but the matter was not resolved and QPR decided to take it further. They also have film of the Terry incident and it was then decided to prosecute him. Consequently, it is now a matter of law, nothing has been finalised and no "judgement" made.
The FA can't force people to shake hands and as it is now a legal matter it was probably the right decision given the stated reluctance of QPRs players. I don't think backbone has anything to do with it. My understanding is the maximum penalty that can be given to Terry is a 2.5 thousand pound fine.
And this will be my final post on the matter!

liked this tweet from Roy Keene
Roy Keane @roy_keane_Esq
If I was playing, if Incey was playing, if Sparky was playing: Suarez ends the game wishing he'd shaken hands.
