Jervis has got Grey well beaten on the weights but IMO Grey E is a lot better than his rating and will run a huge race

I concur actually .... I get the idea that Jervis is a bit of a bridesmaid, and it also has the struggling Warren Kennedy on it's back. I prefer Anniversary Knight though :?

I agree Magi.. I don't like Jervis so much either.. I think it's gonna be between Grey EAgle and Anniversary Knight

Thanks all for the opinions and thoughts shared with regards to today's meeting. I structured my bets around your info as well as my fancies.

Here are some of my fancies (use it, don't use it-your choice, but good luck anyway):

Race 1 Probably the swinger route Greenacre and Duke of Destiny
Race 2 Springtime Flame (1st yankee selection at 7/10)
Race 3 Open but I think Muzi will pull it off
Race 4 Jervis long overdue (2nd yankee selection at 16/10)
Race 5 Count Oliver to upset the applecart
Race 6 Open race but I have a sneaky feeling about Fancy Footwork. On last run however Marionette a huge runner.
Race 7 Open call
Race 8 Classic Victory for me (3rd yankee selection at 8/1)
Race 9 Jalmond to come out tops for Greeff stable (4th yankee selection at 8/1)

My PA 7 / 9 / 1,2,6 / 2,3,5,7 / 3,7 / 2,3,8,11 / 4,10 = R192-00

My P6
9 / 1,2,6,8,10,12 / 1,2,3,4,5,8 / 2,3,4,9,10,12 / 2,3,6,8,11 / 10 = R1080-00

I am off to races of another kind (schools athletics) after I placed my bets so Hasta la vista, I'll be back on Monday.

FYI Martin Cohen joined his stable with the late Peter Miller, then after
Peter handed in license and Sean took over. If you remember they trained as a partnership for a while.....

W. Kennedy taken off Greenacre in the first which he has ridden in both it's starts and riding the first timer Soweto Dawn. Seems strange! Anybody know something?
