I'm not really fond of the stock exchange and rather prefer property

I second you on MTN Sabre. They paid a nice divident of R2.73 this past semester.

i got that but my comment was aimed at the Phumelela guys that read the site not at you - many of the top people there have admitted that they are pretty ignorant when it comes to racing but due to their monopoly of racing they have leverage to do as they please without understanding the people that keep them employed

Should we read punting as an investment too?
And the returns at most times beats the interest compared to a fixed investment.

Depends on how long you want to hold. Litha Healthcare Group has the potential to be the next Aspen, Bowcalf fantastic dividend yield, Shoprite great growth (defensive) stock ..... tough question.
