Al, all I'm talking abut canter pasts, interviews, good presentation/analysis and quality pictures.
You are talking about something from another millennium.
Baby steps please, these Tellytrack guys are stuck in the stone age!
Anyway we can talk about all this till we blue in the face. Phumulela only seem interested in the bottom line, growing the game and improving the TV product is obviously not on the agenda.

The different requirements of people is quite vast.........They could meet mine AND save money!
I would be happy with the COURSE channel, as opposed to the Tellytrack channel ....all I would ask for is that the info is for the right races.
I would settle for races only,to be shown if cost becomes more and more of an issue. I'll do my own replays if necessary.(I often do already)

They have made no bones about the slot machine angle. Whilst there is a place for this in the tote, we at home would like a better produced product.
The TV product needs to be constantly evolving. Whilst one eye is on the present the other should be on future technologies. If they dont do this future costs will be enormous. They have been prone to costly mistakes in the past few years.
Here is a sugestion - maybe the slot machine angle can be worked into a tote feed using alternate technologies and the TV feed can be used for the racing enthusiast. I have said before that the channel needs to sustain itself if this is going to be the approach and revenue streams will have to come from advertising.
I do also agree with you on the picture issue. There was some talk a while back on HD broadcasting but unfortunately we have heard no more about this. I believe that we are heading toward economic recovery and race income should improve along with this recovery. The lack of funds excuse will not wash going forward.

Tellytrack is evolving. Backwards. Maybe it's a cunning plan to get people back on course by making the TV experience more painful than running full tilt into a brick wall.

More world class coverage from the Titanic of TV channels. A broken commentary and no picture.
