Would be interesting to see what happens today on a 'rain affected' track - and quite a lot of rain as well; the only sure thing today is that there will be some upset results; thoughts:
R1: Hard to tell how any of these will go on the sand
R2: Sky Blade has been too disappointing for my money; I think 7/1 is a fair price about Dulcimer Damsel, who has blinkers fitted and may hang on over the 1000 - although I believe her best trip could be 800
; Tiger Strike another to consider in a race which should show us where the best going down the straight is - to be noted for the last 2 races on the card
R3: Very weak field; Blue Spirit should be too strong IF he takes to the sand; any number of potential winners should he fail - all the best Rad
R4: I think this lies between Bella Jet and Laughing River, while Elaenia has won 3 races over this trip so coulb be the joker in the pack if she is in the mood
R5: Very interesting contest; Jamaican Dream the class horse, but tries the sand for the first time and also seems better over shorter; safest options in the PA for me are Mystic, Lochlorien (who also is well in here, but the 1600 is a worry) and Sermon
R6: Worood the obvious one, but she could be given a tough race by Give me Five - Goldkeeper's in general like the sand and I think she is cherry ripe; Xilomante is extremely game and should feature, while I think that both Raise the Bar and Prismatic Fire (heavily penalised after her last win) could struggle in this class
R7: Second World stands out here for me
R8: Competitive handicap to finish, my preferences for the PA are Bermuda Triangle and Right Royal Man, while Do It My Way has found a liking to the sand and is a nice each way bet at 12/1 imo; hard to say how the Cape horse will go and Kings Gold (although a winner over this trip) is running off a 77 here - 20 points more than his last win on the turf, so has it all to do imo
Play well

Thanx Peekay...my wife a nervous wreck...I didn't lay out much so a win will be bonus...ecstatic if in first 3...this is what makes punting and owning such a passion...the adrenaline pumping till it's over...in 2 - 3 minutes...nothing else can compare to the adrenaline rush I'm experiencing...not just the money but the race and competativeness itself...how I love this game...Like Greg and Zesto said long ago...enjoy while you have a good one...I had more injuries than runners the last 6months and my horse dropped his rider Tuesday night...hope it's a change for the better today...I can only hope...heheheX(
