Pumpkin Ridge is related to Dynasty. Both out of the mare Blakes Affair if my memory serves me right. Interesting to see how she goes.

Raining here in Alberton...quite heavy, rest of the South looks gloomy too. Which is a shame cos i like Captain Haddock in the 1st.Overarching was a top mare on her day..7/2 not too bad a price.

Just shows you, this form study is a waste of time - just pick a nice name;)
Some thoughts on this evening at Turffontein (provided they race); As on Saturday it does not look too difficult to me even taking into account the soft conditions:
R1: Some betting support for a few first timers (Captain Haddock in to 7/2) but Fort William comes off a very nice first run on soft ground and I think the half brother to Kavanaugh will be tough to beat
R2: Absolute boat race (it's certainly wet enough) - I think at the weights Captain's Key will lhave the edge over Count Express
R3: Rosey's Song is out of a Foveros mare so should enjoy this trip; she has run well in soft conditions and should prove hard to beat
R4: Another two horse race imo - Onehundredacrewood likes it soft and will be even better over this 1160 than the 1000 of her last win - should be too good for Dancewiththe devil who may prefer more ground as well as firmer ground imo
R5: More competitive - both Moroccan and Two Tone is coming off rests, but both have won on soft tracks - both may prefer 1200 though, so an upset not impossible
R6: Toughest race on the card imo - Waywest Goddess has won well on soft ground, but has to give a lot of weight away and the 1 draw may be a concern - I like a bit of Stratisfaction (10/1) who is weighted to finish in front of Pimpinella (33/10); include as many as the budget allows
R7: Could be another boat race between Super Boy (drawn 1) and Maji Moto (drawn 16); little to choose imo and the draws may be the decisive factor - best of luck to Elvis with Gale Force Var
PA: 5 x 4 x 12 x 1 x 1,3 x 1,4,7,8 x 2,12
PS: 1.4 x 12 x 1,4 x 3 x 1,2,4,7,8,10,12,15 x 2,9
JP: 12 x 1,4 x F X F
