She is 'badly weighted', but she's not carrying 53.5Kgs in the Met..
She would carry 52Kg.
Relative to the highest weighted horse, EF would carry 4Kgs more than if the Met were a free hcp.

Seeing as though this horse seems destined to leave our shores, doesn't it seem like the trainer is determined to get maximum use out of her before she does ? Not sure if the horse's welfare is the first priority.

well done to the connections for running her in the queens plate...would be nice if one of our world class journalists would ask bernard who has been riding both ebony and pp that if he could do the weight on both horses who would he prefer to ride...get off your fat bums journos this is the race of the cape season

Barry I live in the UK, we're 2 hours behind SA, but i agree I need to get more sleep!
If she really is as good as we all think and hope would there be any chance of seeing Ebony Flyer race in the UK?

You misunderstand me hotline. What I am saying is they are being a lot harder on the filly because they know they are going to lose her.

young snaith has taken on pocket power before with dancers daughter so he knows what it takes to beat him...in my opinion pp is not the same horse as he was then plus i believe that at this stage of her career 1600 is her best distance..

Point taken, but Dancer's Daughter was older when she took on Pocket Power. All I'm saying is I think that their decisions are influenced by the fact that they don't have much time left with her.
She is an awesome filly, there is no disputing that. She may well be up to the task, but if they give her a hard campaign now, what will be left of her next year ?
Of course that isn't their problem if they aren't training her anymore.
