Group 1 winner War Artist joins Collet
France: Rod Collet will train South African Group 1 winning sprinter War Artist for owner Rupert Plersch next year.
Trained by Alain de Royer-Dupre to win the Group 3 Prix de Ris-Orangis in July on his second start for the trainer, having previously been with James Eustace, War Artist is one of four horses owned by Plersch to have been transferred.
Collet, who also trained dual Sun Chariot Stakes winner Sahpresa before her recent move to Japan, said on Tuesday: "I received the horses a few days ago and the plan is for them all go to Dubai this winter. We will most likely follow the same programme as last year for War Artist."
After winning the Al Shindagha Sprint on the Tapeta in Feburary, the eight-year-old War Artist then finished fourth in the Al Quoz sprint on his final start in Dubai last March.
