Any fancies? -

With the "big guns" not in the greatest runs of form, I think both Fleetwood and Matsuyama are both decent prospects. Both at 22/1, and both in very decent form....

Done Padraig Harrington at 70/1 plus a top 6 and top 10 finish. No one seems to be a stand out this year. Padraig is in better form than he has been in for a while with a T4 finish in the Scottish Open that included a 79 in the 3rd round. He won the last Open at Royal Birkdale so knows the course well. He could be a bit of outside value. Of the favorites I think Spieth and Rose will be right up there.

Betxchange have a good promotion whereby if you back your golfer to win and he finishes T3 or better they refund your stake.

I have had a close look at the weather and Friday looks to be a dreadful day with rain and wind between 30 to 50 km/h with gusts up to 65 km/h. If is a tough course with Par and +3 winning the last two opens there. I recon for the cut to be 147 and over at 15/10 is a great bet. I have taken my maximum bet on this.

Thanks Shrek... Strengthens my fancy for Tommy Fleetwood. Grew up playing in the conditions, plays well in them and is in form....

I thought Andy Sullivan played well last week when nothing would drop for him.... 5 putts drop and he would have been in the mix 125/1 win & 30/1 top 6....i will have a nibble

Wind seem to be blowing nicely and scoring already high. Does look like it will clear later today but tomorrow lots of rain and wind.

Spieth looking the part on day 1. Tomorrow with the wind and rain should separate the men from the boys.
