Some stats from www.fifa.com/worldcup/statistics/index.html after 36 matches but a little biased for now as groups A and B have played all their games.

Country with most goals: Netherlands with 10

Best attacking side: Brazil 47 attempts (goals, on target, off target, blocks, saves, etc)

Most passing side: Spain 1703

Best defending side: Croatia 77 (tackles, blocks, saves, etc)

Top scorer: Neymar 4

Longest runner: Marcelo Diaz (Chile): 36km!

Player with most successful passes: Gary Medel (Chile): 92%

Most saves by a goalkeeper: Vincent Enyeama (Nigeria): 8 saves and nothing conceded

There has been an average of 3 goals per match

Netherlands vs Mexico in the last 16, looks like a cracker of a game in store.

lol, that is clever, Suarez better hope he is not on the same plane back to England with Gerrard because don't Uraguay have to win tonight to advance to the next round, or would a draw do it or them?
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
