Awesome batting but Piedt is way out of his depth and can only learn from this. Still predict a draw as this track will be good for batting for another two days yet so if the Proteas can see off the new ball I expect them to knock up a huge score as well

In the first test Van Zyl lets one go and gets bowled and now he runs himself out on a featherbed of a pitch.

By dropping AB when he had 5, Root has cost England the series as AB will bat long and save the test. Philander and Steyn back at the Wanderers to square the series taking it into Centurian for the decider.

Well played by the batsman today. Need to hang in for another 60 overs to be sure of the draw although I don't think that the pitch will do much on the 5th day
