Van Wyk, Rousouw, Duminey, Parnell and De Lange all play in the IPL.

Botha, who captains the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash should be playing for SA.

PS South Africa have no chance of winning the world cup and I would be surprised if they get as far as the semis.

CnC, after this game you can see there should be a lot more playing for SA than just Botha but if your surname is not right........

And again :silly:

I think sometimes the selectors are on a hiding to nothing, but other times I wonder how they can get it so badly wrong (and not only in SA):

How is it possible that Bravo and Pollard are not deemed good enough to make the WI squad?

How is it possible that Wayne Parnell can still be considered good enough to make ANY Protea squad?

How many more runs does Richard Levy have to make to be recalled to both the T20 and One Day side ?

Why do we keep taking the batting power play in the 25th over - and with a new batsmen at the crease?

Well I suppose everybody has their own ideas - for me SA really needed Levy in the ODI World Cup squad - much better option than Riley Rossouw imo

I think the best SA ODI side would be the following:

Levy
De KocK
Amla
du Plessis
de Villiers
Duminy
Miller
Philander
Steyn
Morkel
Tahir

Yes maybe a little thin on bowling, but AB can put in a few overs as he is not keeping.

Imagine the score after 15 overs if both de Kock and Levy stay in - game won. If not, plenty of back-up to come.

Do not send AB in before the 20th over - give him 10 to 15 overs to keep the innings together and then take the power play after 35 overs - if all goes well, no reason why we can't put up 350 in most games

Why am I the only one that can see this :silly:
