I do not know if it was posted before but Serpentine has been cut/gelded.

I think if you win certain races you automatically qualify for the Melbourne Cup. After that it is according to rating. Although off form Serpentine rating is still high enough to be in the top 24.

Yes N, you’re correct, I’ve just noticed that he, Serpentine, is a gelding. Do you know when he was cut?

When he was bought by the new owners to race in Australia. They were stating the first Derby winner to be gelded in over 100 years....

.....has the type of ped picture fitting of a Cup winner....one of my fancies to get a drum....

I will be cheering David Payne's horse. Serious contender this year.
