Roll Of Drums, Iditarod Trail, Electromagnetic and Senior Lizard are no slouches and are looking to get into future feature races. Judd’s Rocket could place.
Another potential banker for exotics on the day is Mighty High in Race 8, another Assessment Plate, this one a 1200m sprint.
Johan Janse van Vuuren’s three-year-old filly takes on the boys but is likely to start as a short-priced favourite. She was impressive in both her wins to date and looks a star in the making.
She is looking to retain her unbeaten status and complete the hat-trick with Gavin Lerena aboard.
Victor Forth is having his fourth start and is improving with racing. Green Haze has ability and sports blinkers for the first time. Big Mistake did well in his first run as a gelding, while Shufoof is another filly taking on the males and could feature.
Lying in between those two standout bets is Race 7, in which any one of the eight runners could pull it off and the field might be a sensible call for the Pick 6.
Benji has won both starts over this course and distance and is looking to complete the hat-trick.
However, Copper Jay ran second in his only try over this trip and should be thereabouts. Donny G is best over this trip but needs to be in the right mood. William Nicol could go in fresh.
