Kaizer Chiefs v SuperSport United – click here to bet
Chiefs and SuperSport do battle on Saturday after playing to a 2-2 draw at SuperSport last time out. Chiefs had booked their spot in the last 4 courtesy of a 3-0 home win over Free State Stars and their most recent action was in the PSL where they blew a 2 goal lead in mid-week to draw 2-2 with Bloemfontein Celtic at home.
SuperSport required penalties in their quarter-final match against Orlando Pirates away and like Chiefs they were in action in mid-week beating Chippa United 2-1 in the PSL.
3 of the last 5 head-to-head encounters between these sides have finished level and the other two have been decided by just 1 goal.
Kaizer Chiefs 14/10
SuperSport United 5/2
Suggested bet: The draw at 37/20.
I can understand why Chiefs are favourites here with the bookmakers but personally I cannot see much in this game as neither side has looked that impressive this season and Chiefs would have been particularly disappointed to have blown that lead against Celtic in mid-week.
Mamelodi Sundowns v Cape Town City – click here to bet
Sundowns have to overcome a 1-0 deficit to Cape Town City when they host them on Sunday in the second semi-final. Sundowns booked their spot in the last 4 with a 2-0 home win against Golden Arrows and they were in CAF Championship League action in mid-week drawing 0-0 at home to Horoya.
Cape Town City beat Maritzburg 1-0 away in the last 8 and they beat Sundowns by the same margin at home in their first leg encounter. They were a bit disappointing in mid-week drawing 2-2 away at Free State Stars but they will come into this game full of confidence as they have won their last 2 away matches against Sundowns.
Mamelodi Sundowns 1/1
Cape Town City 13/4
Suggested Bet: Cape Town City to win the Tournament at 28/10.
I think City have what it takes to progress to the final against a Sundowns side which has already played a lot of football this season. I have decided to back them for the outright win here and hopefully will be carrying a nice bet into the final.
