Futura, no contest. Conformation wise reminded me so much of Sea the Stars.

Beach Beauty for me - 17 wins 1000m-2000m, versatile and packed with grit.
Unfair in some respects as Jackson & Futura were kept as entire's for obvious reasons so could have been even better.

Redoute's Choice dies at 22
Andrew Eddy@fastisheddy 11:16am

The Australian breeding industry has lost one of its greatest-ever stallions with the news that Redoute's Choice died on Tuesday morning at Arrowfield Stud near Scone in the Hunter Valley.

A press statement from Arrowfield explained the 22-year-old son of Danehill and of Shantha's Choice was humanely euthanised after suffering a traumatic loss of mobility which could not be restored, despite intensive care by Arrowfield's veterinary and stallion teams.

Arrowfield principal John Messara said: "Redoute's Choice is such a big part of all our lives, and right now it's hard to imagine Arrowfield without him.

"He has given us so much. Arrowfield has been built on his back and he's allowed all of us and many, many other people to fulfil our dreams and ambitions."

As a stallion, Redoute's Choice was without peer as he sired 163 Stakes winners of 329 Stakes races across his 19 seasons.

He stood initially for $30,000 in 2000 with that fee swelling to an amazing $330,000 by 2007. He was still demanding a $137,500 fee in his last season last spring when he served just 45 mares.

As a racehorse, Redoute's Choice was a star. He won four Group 1s - the Blue Diamond Stakes, Manikato Stakes, Orr Stakes and that unforgettable Caulfield Guineas win over Testa Rossa in 1999.

Messara continued: "I thank Muzaffar Yaseen for allowing us to buy into Redoute's Choice almost two decades ago. Our partnership has always been amicable and it has achieved all that we could hope for, and more.

"I'm grateful to all my team, past and present, who are part of his story, especially those who have cared for and worked with Redoute's Choice every day and have ensured that he's had the long and wonderful life he deserved.

"There are many tears being shed at Arrowfield today.

"I also thank everyone who helped us launch his stud career, his shareholders, and those who bred to him, and bought, raced, trained and rode his progeny. He has blessed us all."

The death of Redoute's Choice will increase the pressure to retire the stallion's five-time

Group 1-winning colt The Autumn Sun to stand at Arrowfield next season.

It's always sad to lose good stallions. It is however a massive stretch to put WWN in the great category. His results were very moderate.

Redoute's Choice was also the sire of Nodoubt Deja, owned by Jooste which cost 3 million aus dollars. Now you think of it, it was all free money for him, not hard earned!
