Pull the other one. This center needs realigning as was done in PE. I doubt that there's a field deserving Gr3 status in Zim.

If it is a Grade One, it will be classified has a local Grade One and will not be in the stud book showing as a Grade One winner in my opinion. Its like in Hong Kong, certain of their Grade Ones are deemed local Grade Ones and do not appear in the stud book.

I remember watching the Castle Tankard in the 1990s on IGN. Only that race was covered. Later on they even covered racing from Bulawayo.

Circle of Life won in the 1990s. Its granddam was Tecla Bluff, the July winner. Its dam Teclafields was the dam of Zebra Crossing the Met winner. Circle of Life is the dam of Summer Cup winner Deo Juvente. Tecla Bluff was given to Robin Bruss if I'm not mistaken.

Devon Air also ended up in Zimbabwe. Although it never produced anything prolific through its daughters, granddaughters, etc, they have produced Mercury Sprint winner, August Rush and Grade One winner, Tempting Fate.

One of my huge payouts in Zimbabwe was backing a winner at any odds, close to 80/1. I can clearly remember its dam being St Just. St Just beat Olympic Duel in the Daily News 2000.

They had a horse called Pollenate in the 2000s. Won all its races in a common canter as a 2yo. Sadly it passed away. Could have been a good one.

The Castle Tankard is the oldest sponsored horse race in Southern Africa. I want to stick my neck out and say the world. (Though there was one year when it was sponsored as the Spar Tankard).

Strike It Rich, trained by Roy Magner, won the 1980 Tankard. The horse came down to SA and best Foveros in the only running of the Omega Gold.
